The Swedish EIA Centre is a national centre for competence within environmental impact assessment (EIA) and other kinds of environmental estimate for policy’s, plans, programs and projects.
The activities at the Swedish EIA Centre consist of education, research, investigation, counsultation and information, at a national and international level. Apart from the use of EIA in Swedish planning the EIA Centre manage a helpdesk concerning environmental issues within the Swedish international development cooperation agency’s (Sida) development aid. The centre also runs a network with people that are interested of EIA in Sweden. The centre arranges conferences and open seminars and can also offer customized curses.
